The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation. Psalm 33:11
Happy blessed New Year. New beginnings, new understandings and new ways. It can be a time to come closer and hear the whisper that echoes in the wind calling us back home to the real truths in our life. As we begin this New Year on the Solemnity of Mary, “May God shine his light upon you.”. We are sons and daughters of the King to which should bring us immense joy. If we bring our prayers and hopes to Mary she treasures and ponders on our thoughts and prayers in her heart and presents them to the King on our behalf. Nothing is outside of God’s jurisdiction and possibilities. From the beginning of time He has placed us in a world of utter beauty with all we will ever need. He sees all things and knows all things. There is nothing out of the realm of His reach and abilities. He created all things in His own image. The natural world around can leave one breathless and in awe of the perfect balance and exchange of life of it all. We are able to witness this perfect exchange of oxygen and air between life and nature’s living things, so truly surreal. I recently read about about a finding about pine forests being used for therapy purposes. In the 1800s in Germany sanitoriums were set up in pine forests as a treatment for patients. They found the more it contained the moisture of the forest the more healing it became. It secreted a healing balm into the air. Nature has been a great source of healing to the body and soul.
Spending time in nature has healing benefits. God created nature and it’s creatures within it for us all to live in health and harmony. As a family we have always enjoyed leisurely walks in the forest where we can become one with what God has created and share our heart with one another. A place where a heart can beat as one with our creator. Sometimes on our life journey things get crooked in life and bent and lead us to believe that in some way many of what man creates he has made or created in reality all goodness and creation flows through God and in His power that it came into existence. Store shelves are filled with pine candles and all such things that can give us pleasure but in all of this is what we really search for is the call of God’s goodness? God is the creator and calls us to take a leap of faith with all our senses engaged to the splendor he has created. The things that awaken our smell, touch, taste, sight and sounds he has already created and made perfect for us. Yet we search on the things which expire instead of everlasting life. We all have shortcomings and hardships, some more than others, but as a people we all were born to love and live in hope and joy. “Nothing is impossible for God.” He equips us to believe and live the life he wants for us. The apostle John said, “The Holy Spirit will teach you in all things… and guide you into all truth.”. It might lead us to wonder if one searches to find treasures made my man in hopes satisfy the hunger to what God has created. God asks us to seek Him in all things and there your most beautiful life and adventure awaits. We can struggle with such beliefs and to some it may be too abstract but I feel the more you seek Him you might discover his realness in your live. We gives ourselves the gift of endless possibilities to enjoy life whether we are still or moving about when we realize God’s plight in our life. Maybe we might keep the light of hope burning within us to go beyond being happy in the moment to living with deep joy. Our crookedness holds us back from His perfect reality for each of us. Our healing and rising comes from Him.
We can all stray from the path at times but it’s not the place he wants us to dwell. He wants us to be transformed and take joy in the beauty of all He has created and live to the full. He created all things perfect but even in the beginning of time in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve sought things that God forbid them from and sin was brought into the world. This is the cause the brokenness but knowing who we are in all times and the root of our existence keeps us on a true journey of love and hope. God blesses us with the truth that He forgives and heals all things.
This year live in the light of love, hope and joy. Although, we may still pine over things, I myself still pine over the loss of my beloved parents and the wanting to share my life with them, but in it all I know God is the orchestra conductor in my life, making His masterpiece. He has his hand in all of it guiding, caring and calling each of us closer to Him. This is joyful news. I realize as things change in ways that may be difficult staying focused on His great love and our true existence in Him, is pure and perfect. I know all things will work for the greater good if we believe.
Holy Mother Mary pray for us. Be our guiding mother to your son Jesus. In this time of new ways show us your ways in humility, gentleness, kindness, love and everlasting faith in the creator. Ever loving God teach your ways and your truths. Amen
Peace,
Claudia
