Fr. Michael E. Gaitley has written this beautifully set out book as A Do It Yourself Retreat, In preparation for Marian Consecration. This book I have read twice and will yet read again and plan to offer a retreat for men and women interested in the Marian journey. This is my first book, I have read of its kind, in that it condenses wisdom and works of saints, blessed Mother Theresa and Pope John Paul II’ devotion to the blessed mother Mary, as a retreat. What a journey of love and devotion and miracles that have derived from the power of God because of the love of Mary. The book is accompanied with DVD’s, which I have yet to purchase for larger groups.
The book is a journey with these holy people, their works and devotion. It contains special daily prayers, meditations and litanies, that speak to the heart. Each week you study, read and pray about these special Marian devotions. It gives a deeper understanding of the Marian consecration and devotion. Fr. Michael says he wrote this book for one main reason, “Total consecration to Jesus through Mary truly is “the surest, easiest, shortest, and the most perfect means” to becoming a saint”.
